North Carolina GedQ. I read in the paper today a non-partisan bill is in the North Carolina General Assembly to give undocumented Latino children the opportunity to go to college and in doing so... at the same dollar rate granted other NC students. A Republican legislator introduced the bill. I found that particularly fitting since most of the 500,000 undocumented Latinos are here because Republicans and government give their parents their jobs. Basically the ground rule is you have to have went through four years of public school and be intellectually qualified. LET'S GIVE A HOORAY for state legislators, employers, collge deans and public school superintendents who have finally come out the closet and say, "this State is not to destroy or lose promising young students because of those who cannot comprehend Capitalism." AND YES...their parents do pay taxes and should get back some of the benefits they pay in. What's your thought??? A. Not to be sarcastic but most Latinos in NC are either migrant farm workers or low paying hotel workers. Not a large body of persons to go to College. Also I rather doubt that a person with just four years of schooling would have the speech and grammer skills needed for college. They would need at least a GED to qualify for college. The taxes they pay are less than the benefits they reap. The net cost to state and federal government is USD 1,306 per annum. Shed a tear for the American taxpayer Until last year, when the local newspapers exposed it, Undocumented illegals were attending UTA Arlington at a cheaper rate than native born United States Citizens. The latino Administrator of Eligibility was fired. Other Questions : Ged Social StudiesI had forgotten about the age difference between UK and US students.
