Are Minnesotans, by and large, simply more thoughtless, clueless and selfish than the rest of the country when it comes to driving?

Q. I found this article in today's Strib interesting, and thought it might interest this group and our ongoing threads about poor Minnesota driving habits/skills. Are Minnesotans, by and large, simply more thoughtless, clueless and selfish than the rest of the country when it comes to driving? (BTW, I think they should have labeled most Minnesotans as "passive-aggressive" behind the wheel, not simply aggressive. Most will cut you off, then do everything in their power to avoid any eye contact because they KNOW they were selfish and wrong.)

A. I don't believe for a minute that Minnesota drivers are worse than any others in the country. We have no way of knowing how the statistics were gathered, and if a similar study was done in other cities. Did they poll the people on this newsgroup for example, or just people who bothered to call a certain number. Not very scientific. What about all the Wisconsin drivers? We have a very high percentage of them, because we are so close to the border. So does that mean "some"of the Wisconsin drivers are included? I have driven in nearly every state, and just don't see all that big of a difference in driving habits. This thread has gone on for so long on here, several years, and for the most part by the same people. I guess its something to argue about, which is why most people are on here, to have someone to argue with. You know the old saying about assholes and opinions, everybody has one.
