I need some informations about Lifeguard Training Courses
Q. I am a 16-year-old who has done a lot of swimming for fun and a good workout for most of my life. I just started swimming competitively on my school's team in August. I'm going to a week of intensive lifeguard training the first week of June. At the end of the week I take my certification test. Since my school season is over, I haven't done a lot of good workouts lately. What should I work on now to prepare me for lifeguard certification? Anything outside of swimming that I can do?
A. Are you taking just the Red Cross Lifeguard training or are you doing Ellis & Associates or some other form of beach/waterfront training Get yourself in good shape, and be sure you can swim long distances in a short time. Outside of the pool you can get yourself a Red Cross book on first aid and CPR, that stuff is really important too.
