Ged Test ResultsQ. attended a private high school which I was told not to try to enroll the upcoming year because of my grades. (that was my sophomore year) After that I decided to go and get my G.E.D. Now I am intending on furthering my education and getting a college degree in social work. I took the G.E.D. test and got a 228 you need a 200 to pass. Now I'm not exactly sure what you need in each subject to pursue a college education but you need more then what you needed to get the ged itself. At the school I recently applied to is a branch off of a main campus and they told me that Ineed the results of my ged test and I threw the results away because I just figured that all I would need to attend a school was my diploma itself. Now I am not exactly the freshest loaf on the shelf but nor do I consider myself an idiot. I was diagnosed with what what they call A.D.D. (attention deficit disorder) Now I do not know if I really even have this mental disorder because I went to the psychiatrist and said that I could not pay attention in school and he said here have some ritalin basically. I honestly think that it was just an excuse for me to slack like I usually did in high school with out getting in trouble but there is a possibility that I do have it I am not sure. I always had to be part of the in crowd at school and now I am paying for it I suppose. Now am willing to work diligently and persevere to pursue my career goals but I don't know if I am going to get in to this college. I looked back at my transcripts and saw my grades, they were horrible. I really don't have a question except for: does anyone know what kind of score do you need on the ged test to go to college and I wanted some honest opinions, not uplifting, on what I should do. Like should i even go to school or not A. You may have a couple of choices. I do not know the particulars of the schools you wish to attend but with the schools in my state have to have taken the ACT or SAT exams along with you diploma or G.E.D. Here are a couple of the option you may have with out the ACT or SAT exams you can only attend a junior college, unless you are 23 years old or have been out of school for five years or more. Here your score on G.E.D. doe not matter as long as you pass but you have to provide them with your scores for placement purposes. Retake your G.E.D. exam try to score as high as you can in the Math and the English sections, then find out which exam you need to enroll in the schools of your choice ACT or SAT. Contact the school to find out the location of the next open exam. You will probally have to schedule an appointment to take the exam and since you are out of school there will probally be a fee for this test.
