Ged Practice Test
Q. My wife has to prepare for the GED. It is some years since she went last time to school. Now she would like to prepare for the test. I saw on the web some sites that offers online help and other things. Do you have any suggestion ? Which book do you recommend ? You think you can prepare alone by yourself? Or is it better to have someone to follow you?
A. I don't know what area you are from but I offer this. I am a GED teacher and suggest that while you wife may certainly work on her own, you should contact a GED program in your area. They will pretest her for weak areas. The GED 2002 test has higher critical thinking skills and requires high reading skill. It is not necessarily harder than before but higher leveled. GED programs are state and federally funded so they are free. Also, if she takes the practice test through a program she will be able to take the official GED test for free. In Ohio, where I work the cost of the test is $55.00.
