Do they care what car I'm driving?

Q. I just received my EZ pass Saturday and plan to use it next week.(I drive on the PA turnpike). If I use the EZ pass in a car other than the cars I reported to EZ pass,is that a problem? Do they care what car I'm driving? (I can't see that it matters but I'm wondering anyway!)

A. It is if for example the vehicle you're driving isn't associated with the transponder,and for some reason the transponder doesn't get picked up.If it's the registered vehicle,then they just bill you as though you had used EZ-Pass,but if it isn't,you may get a ticket in the mail sent to the address listed for the license plate photographed.Of course if the system works properly,there's no real problem.
