Doea anyone have recommendations on adults' Drivers Education Training?
Q. I'd hate to interrupt the Ric-and-Dave-lawsuit show, but I'm deeply moved and inspired by the VTA's leadership and concern for its present mass transit ridership in investing $170 million in a BART tunnel. Certainly, the VTA leadership must themselves depend daily on their transit system for themselves and their families, and have made this decision solely for our best welfare. (I can only dream that they'll also come to their senses and extend BART to downtown Half Moon Bay or Woodside, which I'm sure will garner an equally solid ridership!) That said, does anyone have recommendations for good places to do driver's ed? I'm finally ready to just buy a car and be rid of depending on a politically-driven mass transit system that provides worthless services to a disenfranchised minority.
A. Driver's ed is a classroom only instruction in high school. I should assume that you took that already, since it is generally a graduation requirement. It generally covers the rules of the road and other stuff such as sex, alcohol, and drugs ed. What you need is driver's training. You should take a written test at the DMV to obtain a learner's permit, so you can receive driver's training. After a certain period after the training, you can receive your license after passing the driving test. Of course there are instructors that train adults, since there are adults, like immigrants, who want to learn how to drive. Also, many put off driving until at least 18 because of strict laws and very high insurance rates for younger drivers.
